Family Housekeeper – Barnet EN5

The residence is a large family home and the majority of staff have been with the Principal for many years. The start date for this post is flexible for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

• The vacancy comes with all the duties of a classic private housekeeper but is not limited to, cleaning all rooms to a very high standard, laundry, and regular and seasonal deep cleaning based on the household manual.
• Wardrobe management (this can be taught by senior management if needed)
• Working hand in hand with the housekeeping team and the rest of the household staff.
• The right candidate will help the butler in keeping the house stocked. Also, inform them of repairs or lightbulbs that need changing
• Some light cooking according to the principal’s nutrition plan.
• Hours 10-hour days with flexibility
• Days 5 days a week

Key requirements

• The suitable candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a top hotel, or super yacht setting. Experience in a private household would be preferred but is not paramount, however, a combination of both would be ideal.
• Experience in laundering and ironing fine fabrics is essential.
