Experienced Governess – Highgate

The client is looking for a candidate with a well rounded academic background and excellent social skills.

Languages: Fluency in English

Approach: Energetic, firm when needed but with fun a can-do attitude.

Accommodation: Live-in 5 nights a week.

Salary: Salary negotiable for the right candidate. Excellent References and demonstrated track record of mentorship.

Start date: May 5th 2021. However, a temporary Governess can be arranged should the ideal candidate be required to give notice to a current employer.

Responsibilities

•  Ensuring the timetable is set up in such a manner that the children have smooth days and weeks (more for the eight-year-olds
• Help with homework and in addressing any extra learning skills/needs that might be required for the children to be critical thinkers
•  The teaching of manners, etiquette to help develop social skills and self-awareness
• Fostering the child’s educational, social, and creative development
• Organizing activities at home and cultural, educational, and sporting outings
• Co-ordinating social activities for the children with friends from school
• Following the school’s curriculum, ensuring all homework and coordination with schools and tutors
• To keep the parents up to date with the above-mentioned; Children’s overall development while seeking feedback as this progresses

• Governess experience
• Experience with the relevant age-groups
• A firm yet fun and energetic approach
• Enhanced DBS check
• Paediatric first aid
• Supporting references
• Valid passport
