Private Chef – South Africa (Pretoria)
We are recruiting an experienced Private Chef for clients in South Africa. Suitable candidates will be based in SA, or be within a short flight away. The booking will last for 8-weeks from the end of April. Salary is negotiable and on-site accommodation can be provided if required.
The couple enjoys a variety of global cuisine including Greek, Japanese, Mediterranean and classic British and French dishes.
The property is fully staffed including drivers and housekeeping. As this is a longer temporary booking, the Chef will be asked to remain mindful of healthy options from day to day (with occasional indulgent treats). Sporadic dinner parties are expected.
The main Principal will be recovering from medical treatment and unable to eat out at their usual favourite restaurants and have decided to bring in a Chef to cater for the duration of their recovery. This booking would be ideal for an experienced Chef who has a relaxed, calm and nurturing approach.
Responsibilities
- Menu planning
- Provisioning
- Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen at all times
- Catering for keen foodies who enjoy a variety of global cuisine
- Providing delicious and nutritionally balanced dinners (and lunches should anyone be in residence)
- Breakfast is expected to be simple and not always required
Key requirements
- Ideal applicants will be based in SA
- Private Chef experience essential
- Available for 8-weeks from the end of April
- Knowledge and a confident repertoire of global cuisine
- Supporting references
- A driving licence is not essential as the client has a driver
- A warm, approachable and relaxed nature
