Butler – Christmas Eve

Candidates must have Butler training and considerable experience of working within private households.

A team of housekeeping staff will be on hand to assist you. You will be required to liaise with the Principal, the private Chef & Exec Assistant to ensure the evening runs smoothly.

Christmas Eve supper will be served at 6.30pm for 6 adults and 10 children.

Salary – £600 (£300 @ double-time rate)
Start time – 1pm 24/12

Applicants must be highly-experienced Senior Butlers with extensive knowledge of wine and cigar service.

A calm, efficient and child-friendly personality is required for this booking.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include the following:

• Setting the table
• Formal table service
• Pressing table linen and napkins if required
• Polishing glasses and silverware
• Selecting wines and chilling champagne
• Arranging ice buckets, bar fruit etc for pantry station
• Service of aperitifs, cocktails, soft drinks and brandy/after-dinner digestif
• Cigar service
• Hand-washing all glass and silverware
• Assisting Chef where required

Key requirements

To be suitable for this role, you must have:

• Experience as a Senior Butler
• A calm, professional and efficient disposition
• Extensive knowledge of service, fine wines, mixology and cigar service
• Immaculate presentation
• Attention to detail
• A child-friendly approach
• Applicants must have their own transport as this is a booking in a rural location
