French-Speaking Nanny – Hampstead

The children are aged 4, 5 & 8. Some overseas travel is expected during the school holidays.

The client would like to find the ideal live-out Nanny for this role. However, should the perfect candidate require a live-in role, accommodation could be provided Mon-Fri, you are welcome to go home at weekends. Please be sure to specify at the point of application if you are looking for a daily live-out or Mon-Fri live-in role.

The household is a large 5-storey residence with a full team of household staff including housekeeping, childcare, private chef, PA, maintenance, gardeners, contractors, etc.

Due to all 3 children being a school during the day, a long break during the day is taken until school pick up at 14.30.

The eldest is a very sporty 8-year old little boy, therefore we are looking for a Nanny who can keep on top of extracurricular activities, sports clubs and assist the PA with sourcing sports camps during the school holidays.

This is a role for an efficient, organised and proactive Nanny or Nanny/Governess. The position requires hands-on childcare with a small amount of simple cooking for the children on Mondays and Tuesdays when the private chef is off.

All applicants must have significant private nanny experience and native or fluent French to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on childcare of 3-children aged 4, 5 & 8
• School drop off & pick up
• Simple cooking for the children when the chef has a day off
• Accompany the family on overseas vacations (outside of term-time)
• Liaise with additional private staff and PA to ensure a smooth schedule
• Assist with school admin and extracurricular activity diary
• Research sports camps for school holidays
• Maintain a busy schedule for all 3 children at all times
• Oversee the safety and security of the children at all times whilst on duty
• Work a split shift with a break between morning school drop off and pick up at 14.30
• Assist housekeeper with management and rotation of seasonal wardrobe and arrange clothing donations when items are outgrown
• Assist with children’s packing for holidays and summer camps
• Take children to appointments, parties and play dates

Key requirements

• Fluent French speaker essential
• Driving licence not required
• Up to date Enhanced DBS check
• Up to date Paediatric First Aid
• Verifiable references
• Available to start ASAP (within 4-weeks)
• Experience working as a private nanny
• UK Passport, UK skilled-worker visa or UK pre-settlement/permanent settlement status
