Live-in Housekeeper/Cook

The residence is a newly refurbished 3-storey townhouse. The interior style is modern and minimal allowing for easy cleaning.

Staff accommodation is a large bedroom and bathroom on the top floor of the residence (own floor allocated).

This role would be ideal for an applicant who would take joy in looking after the house and making the role their own.

The principal owns a small dog (cockapoo) that will need feeding and walking each day you are on duty. The client has two grown-up children and a grandchild who will come to visit occasionally. Simple meals for the grandchild (such as pasta) will need to be prepared as required.

The client follows a kosher diet and does not eat seafood. She does not entertain at home, therefore dinner parties are not expected (unless you are a particularly wonderful cook and would be happy to cater).

This is a varied and sustainable role for someone who will take pride in running the home and offering the Principal a warm and flexible approach.

Hours – 5-day week (2-hour break after lunch)

Accommodation – bedroom and bathroom on own floor

Days off – x 2 p/w

Start date – asap/early October

Responsibilities

• Cooking for 1 Principal (plus any family who visit)
• Housekeeping, laundry and organising dry cleaning
• Walking and feeding the dog (cockapoo)
• Serving all meals and snacks/afternoon tea as required
• Welcoming visitors
• Running errands (post office, grocery shopping, pharmacy)
• Private household experience
• DBS background check
• Employment references
