Private Chef – Austria & Portugal

The position is based at the client’s primary residence in Vienna, however, you will be required to travel to additional properties throughout Austria and a villa in Portugal.

The family enjoy a variety of worldwide cuisine making this an exceptional opportunity for any Chef who likes to challenge their culinary knowledge and remain inspired. You are encouraged to source the best seasonal produce and ingredients available from local markets and specialist suppliers.

This is a wonderful opportunity for any Chef looking for a role with potential for future freelance and rotational bookings.

For the most part, you will be cooking for the Principal, family and friends, however, some formal entertaining is expected on occasion.

Additional details including dietary requirements and menu preferences will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Responsibilities

• Shopping & Provisioning
• Accounts & Budgets
• Using seasonal ingredients sourced from quality suppliers and producers
• Catering for the Principal and Family
• Stock control & rotation of fridges and dry stores
• Keeping an immaculate kitchen at all times
• Travelling with the Principal as required

Key requirements

• Extensive Private Chef experience (within private households/superyachts)
• Broad knowledge of international cuisine
• Ability to cater for dietary requirements
• Calm under pressure
• Able to cater for relaxed family dinners to formal fine dining events
• Organised approach
• Strong communication skills
• Team player
• Happy to travel with the family as required
• Candidates must be well-presented at all times
• A relaxed yet highly professional nature
