Private Chef – Kensington

The position is based at the Principal’s primary residence in Kensington. Some travel is expected however this is limited to the school holidays.

You will be joining a large team of household staff and will be guided by the Principals Head Butler/Travelling Estate Manager. You must liaise with him on a daily basis, ensuring service runs smoothly and on time.

You will have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal and access to the best suppliers available.

Food must be elegant with polished presentation using seasonal ingredients where possible. The kitchen must be kept clean and in good order at all times.

To be suitable for this role you must be an excellent team player with smart personal presentation and a large repertoire of international cuisine and classic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Shopping & provisioning
• Accounts and budgets
• Liaising with suppliers
• Working closely with additional household staff (in London & France)
• Preparing sophisticated dishes with quality ingredients
• Cooking using seasonal ingredients where possible
• Travelling to the French Alps & the South of France when required
• Working two weekends per month
• Maintaining clear channels of communication with Head Butler/Estate Manager
• Maintaining dry stores, rotating stock and inventories
