Rotational Sous Chef – 113M Yacht

$78,000.00 per annum|Global travel|Permanent, Live-in

A Sous Chef is required to join the crew of a 113m superyacht. Ideal applicants will have yachting experience although this opportunity is also open to individuals with a Private Chef background. You will be on rotation every 10-weeks, working alongside a Head Chef and Crew Chef.

A Chef who has previously held a Head Chef position on a smaller vessel or been employed as a senior Private Chef within HNW private households would be ideal for this role.

This is a private yacht that does not charter. Owner and guest trips will typically run for a maximum of 4-6 weeks and rotation of crew is scheduled to align ahead of the owner’s next expected arrival date.

Applicants should have a wide repertoire of international cuisine and sharp presentation of plated dishes.

A team player is required for this role and applicants must be used to working within a galley/kitchen hierarchy. Communication skills are essential to ensure a smooth handover with your counterpart Sous Chef with each rotation.

This role is ideal for a Sous Chef with experience within private household and superyacht environments.

Due to the imminent start date, all application documents must be in hand including an ENG1 health certificate.   • Salary & bonuses: $6,000.00 per month + 13th month discretional bonus ($78,000.00 per annum)

Key requirements

  • Private/Charter: Private Yacht
  • Required documentation: STCW 95, valid ENG1
  • Additional documentation (not essential): Ships Cook certificate
  • Visa requirements: B1B2 visa preferred but can be arranged for you
  • Application documents: Full-length photograph, CV, STCW 95, ENG1, a portfolio including food photographs
  • Smoker status: Strictly non-smokers may apply
  • Tattoo policy: Strictly no visible tattoos
  • Reference checks: Verifiable references must be provided alongside your application
